Join NZ Green Party candidates Lizzie Gillett and James Shaw, in association with Spanner Films, for a screening of 'The Age of Stupid' at the Launch of the London Campaign for the 2008 General Election.

Dorner, Zachary

List position: 31   Standing in: Pakuranga

Zachary says: “As a 19 year old candidate I represent a huge swathe of New Zealand. About 25% of New Zealanders are under 25, yet have little political representation. I am extremely motivated by this fact, and by the knowledge the Green Party is the only Party that truly stands for us and our futures.”

Shaw, James

List position: 31   Standing in: List Candidate Only

James says: “I have travelled to over 40 countries and I have seen first hand the effects of overpopulation, poverty, corruption, authoritarianism, waste, pollution and ecosystem destruction. My hope for New Zealand’s future is not just that we avoid these fates ourselves, but that we become a truly sustainable society and a model for what such societies can be for other countries around the world.”

Rayna Fahey

List position: 27   Standing in: List Candidate Only

I want to be an MP to represent the positive vision my generation has for the future of Aotearoa. A vision based on diversity, sustainability and peace; of a nation based on Te Tiriti. I am a hard working activist dedicated to ensuring Green representation for generations to come.

Lizzie Gillett

List position: 26   Standing in: List Candidate Only

I have spent the last three years making a documentary about oil, climate change and war. Through filming I've witnessed the suffering of the many for the consumption of the few and I've been deeply politicized by the process. I am an informed, committed campaigner, confident with the media, having worked in it for seven years. On an individual level I try to live as sustainably as possible, in the public sphere we are hoping the film will be seen by millions and shift mainstream perceptions.
