Food is one of the most import things in our lives, and yet we often have no idea what we are eating, where it has come from or what it will do to us. The Green Party wants our food to be safe to eat, properly labelled and free of GE, antibiotics and pesticides. We have run a major Food Revolution campaign for the last two years, a well as winning government programmes for the organics industry and school nutrition.

11 Jun 2008"The Future of Food" DVD is an excellent documentary which examines the impact of genetic engineering on the future of food, as well as the increasing globalisation and centralisation of our food supplies.
Safe Food Campaign - The Safe Food Campaign is a nationwide organisation which campaigns for safer, healthier food. Information about additives, GE food, pesticides, irradiation, fluoridation and more. Recent information includes articles about canola oil, aspartame and myths about GE food.
NZ True Food Guide - from Greenpeace New Zealand, an excellent database of the GE status of food.
Dangers Of Genetic Engineering - excellent resource from the Mothers for Natural Law who are campaigning for labelling in the US. They have done a lot of research on the food industry and offer tips to identifying brands.
Food Standards Australia New Zealand - the former Australia New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) was renamed on On 1 July 2002. Please change any links to the new website www.foodstandards.gov.au - Their email addresses also changed to the format firstname.lastname@foodstandards.gov.au but their phone numbers and address remained the same.
