Tuna Petition

The House of Representatives must take urgent measures to halt the exploitation of the Pacific region’s tuna fisheries. This includes actively supporting the establishment of marine reserves in the international waters of the Pacific and taking a prominent role in the protection of the Pacific’s tuna fisheries. Every year, billions of dollars worth of tuna is stolen from the Pacific and Pacific Island communities. The future of yellowfin and bigeye stocks is threatened.
